February 2026 System Updates

In March Extended Bookie’s powers to movers, got PubNet EDI partly up and running, rolled out many improvements to movers, and the website. We also started on a Mob POS v2 using a different technology that is specialised for mobile. On top of this there was plenty of housing keeping to keep the system current and fast.

New Features & Improvements ready to use/try

  • Bookie
    • We added Bookie to movers as a tool to suggest reorder quantities this is a first step to get the service in place and worth a look but needs tuning and training to give useful suggestions. (reach out to support if you would like to have a look and provide some feed back. #13483
    • Adjusted the chat bubble position so it no longer overlaps important header controls, ensuring all actions like logout remain visible and accessible. #13752
  • EDI
    • Pubnet Integration. Purchase order formatting now meets EDI 850 compliance so US stores can reliably now send orders through Pubnet. #13613
    • Added support for reading PubNet POA (EDI 855) files so US stores can extract supplier responses and automatically update purchase order status after sending orders. #13762, #13722
  • Movers
    • Added a today shortcut to the calendar picker so staff can quickly jump to the current date without repeatedly navigating through months. #13766
    • Made the “Order and Log Time” button available on every movers page so staff can log actions anytime without navigating to the final page. #13030

    • New Movers
      • Started to roll out the in movers interface. At this stage it is just the interface with sample data but you can as support to turned it on so that you can see progress and give feedback. #13834
      • Introduced the initial rejected products view in the new movers interface with toggle navigation, allowing staff to switch between pending and rejected items. #13835
  • Onboarding
    • Set Stripe testing mode to OFF by default for new sites so stores start in live mode and avoid accidental onboarding into Stripe test environments. #13760
  • Website
    • Checkout
      • Added automatic expiration for inactive eWay checkout sessions so unfinished payments safely expire and a fresh session is created when the customer retries. #13630
    •  SEO
      • Added Google Analytics Tag for tracking for discount code usage so promotion activity can be captured in analytics and used for better marketing performance insights. #12632
    • eWay
      • Added background checks for eWay payments so orders are still verified even if customers don’t return to the site, ensuring payment accuracy and order integrity. #13750
      • Improved the eWay checkout by redirecting customers to the secure eWay payment page. This provides a safer and more familiar payment experience similar to PayPal and Stripe. #13460
    • Mobile POS
      • Updated Stripe terminal dependencies so in-device payments work again on supported readers, ensuring smooth and reliable transactions on mobile POS. #13836

House keeping

  • Optimisation
    • Cached a high-traffic product query to reduce database load and increase speed one product pages, delivering faster browsing for customers. #13593
    • Improved indexing for the movers meaning hat searches will load much faster. #13640
    • Moved import processing to a dedicated worker to improve system stability and prevent performance issues during heavy data imports. #13844
  • Upgrades
    • Upgraded Ruby and Rails to newer versions to keep the platform up to date. #13637
  • Hotwire migration
    • Rolled out an introduced the initial Hotwire-based promotions page behind a feature flag as part of our migration, preparing the new interface while further improvements are completed before full use. #13605
    • Introduced a reusable pagination component for the promotions page as part of ongoing development, preparing smoother navigation for large lists once fully released. #13863
