Bestsellers in May: A Shake-Up at the Top
May brought a fresh shift to the charts, with The Unquiet Grave claiming the top spot at 2,625 copies sold—knocking The Let Them Theory into second place after a notable dip of 1,010 sales. Meanwhile, fans flocked to the long-awaited fourth installment in the Nevermoor series, Silverborn, securing a strong third with 1,800 sales.
“The Let Them Theory: A Life-Changing Tool That Millions of People Can’t Stop Talking About” held its top position in April, selling 3,332 copies—a slight dip of 115 units. “Sunrise on the Reaping” (The Hunger Games) also retained its second-place ranking, with 2,781 copies sold, down 219 from the previous month. “Orbital” slipped to fourth place, overtaken by newcomer “Lyrebird” by Jane Caro, which debuted on the bestseller list with an impressive 1,438 copies sold.

Sunrise on the Reaping (The Hunger Games) joined the list in second spot with 3,000 sales. Orbital slipped to third spot with 1,666 sales (-453). In February our no 1 best seller, and new title was The Let Them Theory: A Life-Changing Tool That Millions of People Can’t Stop Talking About selling 2,694 copies. Orbital remained in second place for the third month running with 2,118 sales (+421). The Season was rolled to fifth place with another new title, Memorial Days by Geraldine Brooks with 1,545 sales.
In December, our top three chart-toppers were Helen Garner’s The Season with 7,905 copies sold (+5,068), Orbital by Samantha Harvey with 7,148 sales (+5,848), and Tim Winton’s Juice with 4,656 sales (+4,214).
