September 2026 System Updates

In September we progressed group buys, new movers, the website, invoices and payments inwards goods and tax.

New Features & Improvements ready to use/try

          • Group Buys
            • Moved deals into its own navigation with a new list section, giving the upcoming Group Buy features a dedicated and more organised space in the backoffice. #14652
            • Added an Edit Deal interface for updating deal information directly from the new Deals page. #15133
            • Added a Publisher Performance YTD report for head office sites, providing a preview of publisher quantities, values, discounts, deals and top titles. #15107
            • Added a read-only supplier view showing allocated and ordered quantities for Group Buy deals, giving suppliers a clearer summary while the feature remains under development. #14909
            • Reorganised the Allocation Settings page behind the scenes while keeping its existing behaviour unchanged, making the developing Group Buy feature easier to maintain. #15135
            • Added a read-only Order Summary for closed Group Buy deals, showing each store’s ordered quantity, unit price and total value for easier reconciliation while Group Buy remains under development. #15276
            • Updated the Deals tabs so each site only sees options relevant to its role, providing a clearer experience while the Group Buy feature remains under development. #15308
          • Movers
            • Added an option to set the distributor for individual mover items, making it easier for staff to organise accepted items before sending them to supplier carts. #14949
            • Added the ability to reject AI reorder suggestions with a required reason, helping stores provide feedback when recommendations don’t match their purchasing needs. #14854
            • Added a backoffice view where staff can now see refused AI reorder suggestions and the reasons they were declined, making it easier to review and track previous reorder decisions. #14856
            • You can now set a shop as a distributor using the local transfer option in the Agency Distributor dialog. #14971
            • Added the ability for staff to delete refused AI reorder reasons from the learning history, ensuring outdated or incorrect feedback is no longer considered in future AI analysis. #14858

            • Introduced the initial Ledger Hub page with quick access to ledger information, settings and reports, using mock data while the new feature continues to develop. #14760

            • Added customer mobile numbers to Pending Orders by Supplier and ISBN, making it easier for stores to contact customers about delayed or pending special orders. #14950

            • Improved approved website embeds so provider-specific information is retained, helping maps, videos, forms and widgets work as intended after being saved. #14947
            • Website Checkout > GTM dataLayer
              • Restored the purchase event after web checkout, ensuring completed online sales are correctly sent to GTM for ecommerce and GA4 conversion reporting. #14822
              • added clear stock availability messages when cart quantities exceed available stock, helping customers understand what needs to be updated before they can proceed to checkout. #14924
            • Improved how product information is loaded on website home and category pages, helping pages perform more efficiently and reducing strain on the shared database. #14513

            • Improved payment unallocation for Ledger-enabled sites so accounting history is preserved, helping keep ledger records consistent and auditable. #15076
            • Refunding an invoice used to take one click per line; a new Refund button now ticks all lines and sets their quantities in one click. #13894
            • Improved invoice tax displays so taxes are summarised by default, with support for showing individual tax amounts when detailed tax viewing is enabled. #14786
            • Fixed invoices to correctly calculate shipping tax when shipping is added after an order was created, keeping invoice totals and GST amounts accurate. #15037

            • POS orders now handle multiple taxes the same way WebCheckout already does. (#14962)
          • Load Stock
            • Pasting an ISBN with a hidden invisible space no longer breaks the Google Books lookup. (#14836)
          • Inwards Goods]
            • Improved PubNet inwards goods jobs by linking them to their purchase orders, supporting clearer tracking of jobs through the reconcile and box-scan receiving process. #14911
            • OCR Invoice Extraction
              • Added the foundation for OCR invoice extraction, preparing the system to automatically read supplier invoice details and line items in future development. #15236
              • Added the behind-the-scenes process for uploading invoice PDFs or page photos, combining them when needed and starting OCR extraction, preparing invoice loading for future features. #15360
              • Added the foundation for storing OCR invoice jobs and their extracted line items, supporting the upcoming automated invoice loading workflow. #15280
          • Restrict Staff
            • Added a Profit & Loss option under Restrict Staff, allowing stores to limit access to this financial report to managers only. #15111
          • Tax
            • Added support for tax areas in website checkout, allowing stores to apply tax to orders shipped within their configured area and exclude tax when orders are shipped outside it. #14804
            • Improved Multi-Tax orders so tax values calculated from each site’s tax schema remain correct after orders are edited or invoiced, keeping totals, invoices and reports consistent. #15186

            • Fixed onboarding so the selected store address and country are saved to new sites and automatically populated in the shipping and billing addresses. #15272
